Abstract
This proposal seeks to gather votes from vlMGP holders on whether Magpie should support Cakepie’s CIP #15. The CIP #15 proposal aims to eliminate the lock duration for vlCKP, allowing users to immediately unlock their tokens. In light of PancakeSwap’s decision to sunset veCAKE, this proposal ensures alignment with changing protocol dynamics and reinforces user flexibility during the transition.
Motivation
PancakeSwap’s announced sunsetting of veCAKE fundamentally alters the underlying mechanics Cakepie was built upon. As a result, maintaining the existing lock-based mechanism for vlCKP could undermine user confidence and lead to unnecessary friction. By supporting Cakepie’s move to remove the lock duration, Magpie reaffirms its commitment to flexibility, responsiveness, and community trust. Consulting vlMGP holders ensures that Magpie’s voting stance on CIP #15 accurately reflects the will of its governance participants
Specification
