Abstract
This proposal seeks to eliminate the lock duration for vlCKP, enabling holders to unlock their tokens immediately. In light of PancakeSwap’s decision to sunset veCAKE, and the resulting market response, this change aims to provide flexibility to our users during a time of strategic transition.
Motivation
With PancakeSwap formally announcing the sunsetting of veCAKE, Cakepie’s lock-based model for vlCKP becomes temporarily misaligned with the underlying protocol’s direction. The community has expressed a strong demand to exit their positions. By setting the lock time to zero, we empower our users with the ability to respond to this shift, reduce friction during strategic migrations, and maintain community trust. This proposal reflects Cakepie’s adaptive approach to external changes and prioritizes user autonomy during periods of protocol uncertainty.
Specification
Reduce the vlCKP lock duration to 0, allowing all locked vlCKP holders to unlock their tokens immediately
