Abstract

This proposal seeks to determine Magpie’s stance on Penpie’s PIP #27, which proposes discontinuing all future PNP emissions across the Penpie protocol, realigning Penpie’s incentive structure, and supporting a more sustainable long-term token economy for PNP.

For clarity, PIP #27 applies only to future, unaccrued PNP emissions. It does not affect any PNP rewards that have already accrued, vested, or become claimable before implementation.

Motivation

According to PIP #27, the current PNP emission model no longer fully aligns with Penpie’s long-term direction or the current needs of the ecosystem.

Supporting PIP #27 would discontinue future PNP emissions from an implementation date determined by the Penpie team in accordance with the protocol’s technical requirements and governance process. This would help reduce ongoing token dilution, realign incentives, and support a more sustainable token economy for PNP holders and the broader Penpie ecosystem.

Voting against PIP #27 would maintain the current PNP emission model.

This proposal allows Magpie users to determine how Magpie should vote on Penpie’s PIP #27.

Specification

Magpie will vote on Penpie’s PIP #27 according to the outcome of this proposal.

    • Direct Magpie to vote FOR Penpie’s PIP #27, approving the discontinuation of all future PNP emissions across the Penpie protocol.

  • AGAINST

    • Direct Magpie to vote AGAINST Penpie’s PIP #27, maintaining the current PNP emission model.
