Abstract:
This proposal seeks to gather votes from vlMGP holders on whether Magpie should support Radpie’s RIP #12, which proposes the formal retirement of Radiant Capital’s v1. The retirement of v1 is aimed at optimizing Radiant’s resources and focusing on the development and enhancement of v2. The outcome of this vote will guide Magpie’s stance on the matter, ensuring that our actions align with the strategic objectives of both Magpie and Radpie, and serve the best interests of our stakeholders.
Motivation:
Radiant v2 has successfully transitioned 99.8% of users from v1, indicating that the majority of the market has embraced the newer version. By supporting the retirement of v1, Magpie would be endorsing a move that reallocates resources towards more impactful initiatives, consistent with our goals of fostering efficiency and innovation within the ecosystem. Ensuring that Magpie supports this transition aligns with our broader strategic objectives of optimizing protocol operations and focusing on growth-oriented activities. Additionally, this support would help eliminate the need to maintain legacy systems, thereby freeing up valuable resources for further development.
