# Sunset Wompie and End MGP Emissions to the mWOM Staking Pool

We understand and respect that Wompie is Magpie’s original project and the oldest one. However, currently, Wompie’s contribution to Magpie’s revenue has become **completely zero.** For months now, there have been no bribes conducted on either Arbitrum or BNB.

Meanwhile, despite being halved in MIP #45, Magpie is still paying $MGP to mWOM stakers. This creates no value other than diluting $MGP now.

Additionally, with the continued decline in $WOM’s value and the rise in $MGP’s value, the situation has worsened even beyond the extreme APR spike (150%) that prompted the reduction in MIP #45. It’s now at 170%.

Does Magpie need to go to such lengths to accumulate worthless $WOM? I don’t believe so. For these reasons, I propose ending MGP emissions to the mWOM staking pool.
